My favourite Halifax restaurant is...

... Brooklyn Warehouse. Don't let the website scare you, this place is fantastic!

My awesome friend J.C. recently helped me move, so I took him for my favourite burger in Halifax. The Brooklyn Burger boasts 7 oz. of grilled, organic Nova Scotia beef, Applewood cheddar, double smoked back bacon, served with tomato, onion & pickle, house-made crispy taters, and red pepper mayo. Don't forget to dip your burger in the leftover red pepper mayo. It's to die for!

We also enjoyed some lovely organic wine with our meal, and I ordered my favourite lemon lime tart for dessert. Actually, I order the tart EVERY time now, but the other desserts are super too!

Even though the food is crazy desirable, the service is unbelievable. Everyone who works there is so lovely. =)

Ultimate Frisbee is a sport.

One of my colleagues insists that Ultimate (Frisbee) is not a sport. I definitely disagree with him, and I just noticed that Wikipedia is on my side. YAY!

The Stuff White People Like Blog also refers to Ultimate Frisbee as a disc sport. I love the comment that "you will never see hippies get more upset than on an Ultimate Frisbee field." LOL - So true.

Although, I totally disagree that people of other ethnic decent don't play this sport. From what I've seen of the competitive scene in Canada, that's crazy talk!

C'mon, don't we look serious, poised, and ready to kick some butt on the sports field? Give us a break, take us seriously, and recognize Ultimate as a real sport people!!!
